Women's Mental Health Clinic
At UAMS, our caring and compassionate specialists offer a wide range of services to increase your quality of life.
The integration of mind, body and spirit is an important goal for women's health, yet various life events may negatively affect your ability to achieve such balance.
Postpartum depression, miscarriage, loss, major transitions, illness and other physical changes may overwhelm your ability to cope and may place you at risk for depression, anxiety, grief or other emotional responses that disrupt daily living. At UAMS, we are here to help where you are pregnant and struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues or a woman who is having difficulty getting pregnant.
The Women's Mental Health Clinic is a self-referral clinic. Although UAMS does not require a referral for this clinic, some insurance providers require a referral for specialty care. Please check with your insurance provider prior to requesting an appointment.
The most convenient way to request an appointment is through our online appointment service. If you prefer to call and request an appointment, please call 501-526-8201.
What should I bring to the appointment?
For your first appointment, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you're taking, including over-the-counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including slides or test results from other clinics.
For future appointments, please provide updated medical and insurance information.
How do I request a prescription refill or contact a nurse from the clinic?
Please call the clinic at 501-526-8201, or you can request prescription refills during your appointment. If you originally filled your prescription at the UAMS Outpatient Pharmacy, you can also refill your prescription online.
