- Learning disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other disruptive behavior disorders
- Eating disorders
- Adjustment disorders
- Drug and alcohol abuse
- Physical or sexual abuse
Services are offered for adolescents (ages 14 to 17) and adults (ages 18 to 64). General services include:
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Medication management
- Psychological testing
- Neuropsychological testing
- Individual, family and marital/couples and group psychotherapy
Services begin with a thorough diagnostic assessment by a licensed clinician followed by an appointment with a psychiatrist, if needed. Based on the findings of assessments complete by our team, patients are provided with an individualized treatment plan and may be referred for further evaluation, consultation, medication management and/or psychotherapy. These sessions may take place at the Walker Family Clinic, in other UAMS clinics or through community providers.
Our doctors work with other health-care providers, school personnel and family members as needed to coordinate recommended evaluation and treatment.
Walker Family Clinic does not require a referral for an appointment. However, some insurance providers may require a referral. Please check with your insurance company before your appointment.
If you require a referral, the clinic accepts referrals from within the UAMS Department of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Research Institute programs to provide continuum of care through outpatient appointments. We also accept referrals from other UAMS departments and clinics and from community providers.
To request an appointment you can do so by calling 501-526-8200.
