The Surgery Specialties Clinic is a self-referral clinic. You can request an appointment online through myUAMShealth or you can call 501-686-6086. UAMS does not require a referral in order for you to request an appointment for this clinic. Although UAMS does not require a referral some insurance providers request a referral for specialty care. Please check with your insurance provider prior to requesting an appointment.

What should I bring to the appointment?

For your first appointment, please bring a picture ID and your insurance card. The UAMS medical staff will also need information about any medications you're taking, including over the counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including any test results from other clinics.

For future appointments, please advise us of any changes in your insurance information or your medications.

How do I request a prescription refill or contact a nurse from the clinic?

Call the Clinic at 686-6086 and request a nurse or prescription refill. On the weekend, request the resident on call for your type of surgery. For transplant patients, please call the transplant coordinator.
