If you have a sports injury and are looking for the best medical care, the UAMS Sports Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive, personalized services designed to get you back in the game
as quickly as possible. These services include conservative treatment on an outpatient basis
as well as procedures performed by orthopedic surgeons.
From the professional, college or high school athlete to the weekend warrior or senior athlete, individuals of all ages and skill levels can benefit from our services to help you heal and return to your regular activities. We offer diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and injury prevention services for your knees, shoulders, elbows, hands, ankles and feet.
Our team of top class specialists includes:
- Dr. Jack Vander Schilden, the head team physician for all University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) athletics, including the Trojans basketball team, and an orthopedic consultant for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team
- Dr. Syed "Ash" Hasan, a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon who uses cutting-edge surgical procedures to make repairs that weren't possible just a few years ago
Additionally, our multidisciplinary staff includes doctors who have been recognized by their peers to be listed among the Best Doctors® in America.
In our UAMS Family Medical Center, Dr. Jorge Rodriguez is also certified to treat sport injuries and works closely with our orthopedics doctors if surgery is recommended. Dr. Rodriguez is bilingual and is also a team physician for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock athletic department.
