If you had an illness or injury that affects your ability to communicate clearly and effectively or if you have had a condition since birth, UAMS can assist you with your speech difficulties. Our speech therapy program offers diagnostic and treatment services for adults with communication problems as well as voice concerns and swallowing difficulties.
Our caring staff members will evaluate your speech skills to develop a personalized treatment program for you using the most advanced technology, equipment and resources.
We have extensive training and expertise for the following specialized services:
- Voice evaluations and treatments
- Head and neck cancer surgery therapy
- Treatment of cognitive-communication problems related to dementia, aphasia and cognitive deficits
