Physician Relations serves as a liaison to community physicians, streamlining access to UAMS resources. For more than a decade, our team has worked on innovative ways to improve UAMS services for physicians and their staff. Our website was developed with this in mind and provides a variety of online tools to assist with the referral process.
Physician Relations annually visits more than 800 Arkansas community physicians and represents UAMS at continuing medical education meetings. We have taken a lead role in the development and implementation of information technology programs for the campus, including the online call schedule, the Physician Call Center, the online appointment process, automating patient communication to referring and primary care physicians, and the EpicCare Link portal to access patient records. Our priorities also include keeping referring physicians up-to-date on new services, physicians, and clinical initiatives going on at UAMS. You can find out more about what’s new at UAMS by reading our Consult newsletter.

Important Services for Referring Physicians
The UAMS Physician Call Center provides a single number, 501-686-8000, to access the Appointment Center, transfers and consults with UAMS physicians and the hospital operators. Experienced telephone triage RNs staff the center 24/7, 365 days of the year. The on-line appointment request process has recently been streamlined to provide accurate and timely appointments for your referred patients. If you need to reach a UAMS physician, you may access the UAMS Medical Center call schedule.
