Physical and Occupational Therapy
UAMS' outpatient physical and occupational therapy program offers a wide range of therapy services for patients with conditions from general muscle and joint injuries to severe back and neck pain.
Our caring and compassionate staff members provide personalized treatment programs with flexibility to meet your needs as your condition improves. We'll help you return to work and your regular activities as quickly as possible, and we also provide items such as orthotics that you can use to manage your condition.
Our therapists specialize in the care of:
Open wounds
Elbow and
shoulder pain
Foot pain
General muscle and
joint pain
Fatigue related to cancer issues
Low vision issues
Back and neck pain
Osteoporosis
and
arthritis
Self care needs of daily living
Issues with balance and dizziness
Driving skill evaluations and treatment
All care is provided by licensed therapists. Your doctor will need to provide a written referral that includes your name, age, diagnosis, desired treatment specifying frequency and duration, precautions and the referring physician's signature.
Our physical and occupational therapy services are provided on an outpatient basis at two different locations on the UAMS campus.
