Continuing our tradition of serving the needs of the citizens of Arkansas, our Pregnancy Call Center is operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve as a statewide resource for high-risk obstetrical (OB) patients and providers outside of the UAMS system.
Staffed by registered nurses, our call center can case manage and triage obstetrical services for high-risk obstetrical patients. Each patient is assessed by phone using the patient's description of symptoms and clinical algorithms based on software tailored specially designed for the call center. A Spanish interpreter is also available to aid callers on most evenings and weekends.
If a patient requires immediate medical treatment, the call center nurse triages for emergency transport or facilitates transport to a high-risk OB facility for expert care.

- Patient follow-up after hospital discharge
