Continuing our tradition of excellence in physical therapy services, UAMS offers you the advantage of a specialized Documentation Based Care (DBC) center. Documentation Based Care is an active spine care center offering a comprehensive and effective treatment for patients with chronic pain in the back and neck.

Along with providing the best care to help you with pain management for your condition, our goal is also to help protect you from recurrent back and neck problems to reverse the vicious cycle of back pain.

Utilizing active motion and careful, progressive training devices, your body's own healing mechanisms are triggered. The coordination and control of your spine is improved, and your structures are strengthened. Over time, your pain is reduced, often vanishing altogether.

When you first visit our Documentation Based Care center, a standard evaluation will be done on you by a trained therapist. This initial test takes about an hour and helps us to identify the best individualized treatment approach for your spinal problem. After the test, your therapist will explain to you the condition of your spine. You will receive professional advice on ergonomics and spinal care along with treatment that meets your needs.
