In our program at UAMS, we utilize hearing aids known for high quality, superior reliability and benefit, backed by research. We offer a variety of hearing aid styles and brands to fit each hearing loss. Instrument selection is based on your lifestyle and financial and cosmetic concerns.
Instrument design includes all sizes of custom made models from completely in-the-canal to larger models and micro to full size behind-the-ear models.
The level of available digital technology extends from basic economy aids to instruments that have the following:
- Multiple microphones
- Automatic adjustments for different listening situations
- Automatic volume control
- Remote control
- Feedback and noise reduction
- Up to 20 channels of amplification for finer frequency resolution
