30-Day Trial/Adaptation Period

The trial process is designed to give you time to become comfortable with the hearing instruments and to allow your auditory system to adapt to the new hearing information provided by the instruments.

The adaptive process takes place, primarily in the hearing area of the brain, over an extended period of time. Daily use will facilitate the adaptive process, insuring maximum benefit from the hearing instruments.

The 30-day trial begins when you receive your instruments. You will be scheduled for return appointments at UAMS during your trial, at the two-week and four-week intervals. These shorter visits are designed to address any problems you encounter during the adjustment period.

At the end of the trial period, you will be able to easily determine hearing aid benefit and if dissatisfied, you may return the instruments, in good condition, for a full refund.
