Julep Cup Jaunt

What is the Julep Cup Jaunt?

The annual Julep Cup Jaunt is central Arkansas’ premier Kentucky Derby watch party and silent auction. It is held each year on the same day as the Derby. Tickets are $25 and include free covered parking.  The event, hosted by the UAMS Consortium, features Derby-themed fare, entertainment, a live screening of the Kentucky Derby and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UAMS.

About the UAMS NICU
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UAMS specializes in the care and needs of fragile newborns. It combines advanced technology with trained health care professionals to provide specialized treatment for the tiniest of patients. The NICU features 58 private baby rooms with special lighting, noise and temperature controls to meet each infant’s special needs. The NICU averages more than 1,000 admissions each year and has survival rates that are among the best in the nation.  A family area in the NICU, funded by proceeds from this event, has a kitchen, laundry room and additional sleeping space for family members.

About UAMS

In addition to its hospital and clinics, UAMS includes five colleges and a graduate school, eight Area Health Education Centers and six institutes of excellence.

About the UAMS Consortium
