The Dental Hygiene Clinic at UAMS not only offers you an inexpensive way to get a routine dental visit, but it also provides dental hygiene students with practical experience.
Our Dental Hygiene Clinic provides many of the basic services that any other dental clinic would offer. Those services include:
- Examination
- Cleaning
- X-rays
- Pit & Fissure Sealant
- Whitening
The dental hygiene students are under the direct supervision of both dental hygienists and dentists. This clinic provides the clinical component of their curriculum. Since the services are provided by students, this service is operational during the fall and spring semesters and the first part of June.
New patients must have a new patient exam prior to having your teeth cleaned.
The exam will include an initial exam, gum disease exam and radiographs. Our clinic does not provide restorative services (fillings, crowns, etc.) or tooth extractions.

There is a $5 discount on cleanings for UAMS employees, children, students, senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. A $10 discount is offered to children age 6 and younger. Discounts do not apply to radiographs, sealants, White Strips or the new patient examination.
