Chancellor's Circle
In 1984, the UAMS Foundation Fund Board formed the Chancellor’s Circle, which is an organization that recognizes donors who support programs at UAMS through annual unrestricted
contributions. The program strengthens the institution’s base of annual contributions, providing discretionary funds for UAMS to achieve excellence in its missions of education, research, patient care and service.
The Chancellor distributes the funds to educational programs, clinical services and research projects on the basis of the institution’s priorities. Annual support from the Chancellor’s Circle has been a key factor in providing strength and flexibility for the growth and success of the outstanding institutional programs at UAMS.
The Chancellor’s Circle has also created an invaluable partnership between UAMS and private philanthropy, and is responsible for greater utilization of the UAMS Medical Center clinical
facilities and hospital, where members know they will receive exceptional care.
Contributions of Chancellor’s Circle members enable UAMS to support activities throughout the entire institution. The members’ charitable contributions provide the necessary resources to attract distinguished scholars to the UAMS faculty and finance research projects of high potential to the state’s economic and social development. These contributions also enable UAMS to test and implement innovative programs that require immediate and short-term funding and purchase stateof-the-art medical equipment.
Membership
Membership is open to all friends of UAMS, including individuals, corporations and foundations. A gift of $1,000 makes one eligible for the Chancellor’s Club, a gift of $2,500 makes
one eligible for the Chancellor’s Roundtable and a one-time gift of $25,000 provides a sustaining lifetime membership.
Members enjoy assistance with hospital and clinical patient services, invitations to special events, free parking and a subscription to the Chancellor’s newsletter.
