Are you having problems coping with a life event? Or concerned about your mental health? At UAMS, our caring and compassionate staff members are here to help you. We provide personalized care in a comfortable and convenient setting while respecting your confidentiality.
Because we are a teaching hospital, we offer the best treatment options for our patients. Our full range of psychiatric and psychological services includes treatment for the following:
- Marital and family conflicts
- Relationship problems
- Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder
- Anxiety disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorders or phobias
- Personality disorders
- Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia and binge eating

- Medication management
These services are located in the Walker Family Clinic on the 2nd floor of the Psychiatric Research Institute. Our team welcomes referrals from primary care physicians, therapists, educators and clergy. If needed, our staff members will coordinate your care with referring professionals or with other health care providers at UAMS.
