Dr. Keith Bennett received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He later completed a plastic surgery residency also at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He has also done a residency in family practice at the UAMS Area Health Education Center in Pine Bluff, Ark.
He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in addition to several other certifications. He is a member of seven professional societies including:
- American Medical Association
- American College of Surgeons
- Arkansas Society for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
- American Academy of Family Medicine
Dr. Bennett’s clinical interest is in wound care. He helped start the Wound Care Center at UAMS and is the medical director for the center. When patients come to him in the Wound Center, he takes time to give them a thorough examination from not only a surgeon’s perspective but also from the view of a family medicine doctor. Dr. Bennett’s background in general surgery, plastic surgery and family medicine make him a perfect fit for the director of the Wound Care Center.
