Dr. Ehab Eltahawy has joined the Department of Urology at UAMS. He specializes in Reconstructive Genitourinary surgery and Endourology procedures, including: Urethral stricture management, Penile curvature/Peyronie’s disease, Ureteral strictures, reimplantation and replacement, Periureteral junction obstruction/pyeloplasty, bladder reconstruction with use of bowel to augment or neobladder formation, voiding dysfunction associated with neurological diseases, Interstitial cystitis, and Genitourinary trauma resulting from gunshot wounds, blunt injuries, and auto accidents. Dr. Eltahawy treats kidney, ureter, and bladder stones with minimally invasive techniques. He provides medical advice and evaluates the risk and prevention of further stone formation with a metabolic workup and diet assessment. He also screens for prostate cancer and uses the latest management practices for benign prostate enlargement and vasectomy procedures. Dr. Eltahawy completed an Adult and Pediatric Genitourinary Reconstructive Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Reconstructive Urology and Regenerative Medicine Fellowship at the European Association of Urology in Sheffield, U.K. He completed his medical degree and residency at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
