Dr. Sarah Harrington is an Assistant Professor in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology specializing in hospice and palliative care at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.
After receiving her medical degree from UAMS Dr. Harrington practiced her internship and residency in the Internal Medicine Categorical Track at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA. She continued at Virginia Commonwealth to receive her fellowship in Palliative Medicine. Upon returning to UAMS as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Harrington began a Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship in the Hematology/Oncology division and leads an annual Palliative Care conference serving Palliative Care education needs for professionals across the country.
