The Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI), offers a location adjacent to the new hospital at UAMS. For those patients who qualify based on personal and financial screenings, CARTI/UAMS provides housing, transportation and other assistance for patients while undergoing radiation therapy.
CARTI employees and UAMS radiation oncologists work collaboratively to provide state-of-the-art treatment options, including TomoTherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and Hyperthermia Therapy, which involves heating the tumor.
With advanced technologies and first-class patient care, UAMS and CARTI will continue to offer hope to patients through advances in the battle against cancer in the decades to come.
