pharmacy

The UAMS College of Pharmacy has over 50 years of rich history in preparing its graduates for a life-long journey of learning and professional development.

Pharmacists play a vital role in the health of their communities in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, nuclear pharmacies, community pharmacies, and within the pharmaceutical industry.

How You Can Help
The UAMS College of Pharmacy seeks private funds from individuals, corporations and foundations to provide student scholarships, faculty endowed funds, and annual operating funds. They allow the college to initiate and strengthen programs and provide a stabile source of support, over and above other income sources.

Tomorrow’s pharmacists deserve the best possible educational experience to prepare them for service in new, critical areas of the profession.

Funding Opportunities
Private gifts are crucial, if we are to enhance our program and attract and retain our most creative and passionate professors and researchers. With your gifts, you can help strengthen the College in four key areas:

  • Endowed faculty chairs and professorships will enable College to recruit nation’s leading professors in critical new specialty areas.
  • Endowed scholarships, fellowships and post-graduate program funds will assure that deserving students who wish to enter pharmacy and then to explore a variety of professional areas, will be encouraged and assisted in their pursuits.
  • State of the art facilities and laboratories will attract gifted, innovative teachers and researchers and will enhance the experience for our students as well as the College’s national reputation.
  • Outreach programs will allow dedicated pharmacists to apply knowledge and give latest pharmaceutical care to every areas of the state.
  • The Poison Control Center serves the entire state emergency information related to poisoning, infectious disease and public health.
