Volunteer Services and Auxiliary
The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Auxiliary provides information, service, compassion and hope to those whose lives are touched by cancer.
The Auxiliary membership includes more than 550 individuals, many of whom are regularly involved in day-to-day patient support services and special events.
Money raised by the Auxiliary is distributed in the form of grants to the Cancer Institute, the UAMS Family Home and Auxiliary Cancer Support Center, or other cancer-related projects.
The Cancer Institute also has patient care volunteers, special event volunteers and a summer teen volunteer program.
Gift Shop
The UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Auxiliary Gift Shop, located on the ground floor of the Cancer Institute, is designed to provide an array of unique gifts and unexpected amenities for the patient, caregiver and visitor.
The UAMS Cancer Institute Auxiliary operates the shop with two purposes in mind: to provide comfort to those who enter and to generate funds for patient care at the Cancer Institute.
In addition to our dedicated staff, the shop is supported by caring volunteers who understand what it feels like to be a cancer patient or caregiver.
