UAMS is committed to improving access to services for you and your patients. That’s why we’ve developed the new UAMS Physician Call Center. It provides you easy access to UAMS physicians and services. 

The Call Center provides a single number for you to access the Appointment Center, transfers, consults with UAMS physicians, and hospital operators. The Call Center is staffed by experienced telephone triage RNs - 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Here’s how it works:

Simply call 1-866-UAMS-DOC or 686-8000.  
Press 1 for referring physicians.

You will be given three options:

• Press 1 for the UAMS Appointment Center

• Press 2 for the UAMS Physician Call Center to connect you with a UAMS physician for transfers or consults

• Press 3 for UAMS hospital operators

UAMS Physician Call Center nurse will ensure timely, appropriate consults on your patients, assist you with transfer requests and keep you updated when patient transfers are delayed.
